- Craft an Inviting learning environment with clear work spaces.
- Firmly reinforce routines and systems to preserve learning time.
- Uphold individual accountability for the learning process.
- Give positive, steady stream of phraseology accentuating a growth mindset.
- Use non-verbal cues and be liberal with praise - reinforcing positive behavior.
- Exhibit and explicitly teach with examples of quality work.

- Use provided curriculum, technology tools, manipulatives, music, movement, rich literature, field experiences, project-based learning and frequent sharing opportunities.
- Enlist students to compose a class mission/motto and implement within the school's mission.
- Look to quality standards, targets, and methods set forth by my colleagues, local and national education experts.
- Innovate, adapt instruction, and make relevant connections to engage students.
